How to Write Publishable Articles
Presenter: Sharon Nancekivell,
Asst. Professor, Division of Biomedical Communications, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
Workshop Goals:
1 - How to maximize chances to get papers published;
2 - Ethics of Scholarly Publishing;
3 - How to write a publishable research article (Steps in preparing papers for publication);
4 - How to avoid the common problems with each section of a research article.
With more than 18 years of experience as a medical editor and plain language consultant, former director of Editorial Services at the Hospital for Sick Children, she is currently a freelance editor, writer, and plain language consultant. Sharon has edited and copyedited articles and chapters for a wide range of academic journals and textbooks in the medical and health sciences.
